    World War One war damage; ruins. Opens with strange shot of a man seen through hole in wooden frame house; he stands up on something; looking out the hole. Next; interior with big gap in floor; back is about 1-2 ' higher than front; small table at left. Then back outside; pan on big heaps of rocks; rubble; with stone wall; windows in BG; shadows on wall from other windows off screen. Cont. pan left; man comes walking through the mess. Finally; GV ruins - part of a building of several stories. Extensive destruction.
