Reel 4. Royal World Tour 1927. Future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth are seen off by the Prince of Wales (Prince Edward), the Duke of Gloucester (Prince Henry) and Prince George (Duke of Kent). They join the HMS Renown at Portsmouth. We see them embark. Royal voyagers greet the crew. Large crowd waves as the Renown - escorted by a destroyer - leaves the port. Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal. Royal passengers are greeted by the American authorities and crowds. Renown negotiates a series of locks. The royal couple arrive in Wellington, New Zealand. C/U of the couple in an open topped car. Thousands of children make the shape of the English flag. Duke and Duchess visit Rotorua. They are made chieftains of a Maori tribe. They watch some Maori traditional dancing. Statue of King George V is unveiled in Auckland.
Renown carries them to Sydney harbour. Many boats accompany them. Greeted by Australian dignitaries. Inspection of ex-servicemen. Renown heads homewards. The royal couple disembark in Portsmouth. They are welcomed home by Prince of Wales, Duke of Gloucester and Prince George. Train travels over a bridge and crowd waves. In the royal carriage. Crowds. The royal couple wave from their balcony - the future Queen holds Princess Elizabeth (?) in her arms. Children hold large bouquets of flowers. Queen Mary meets and greets various people. Commentary about the work she does. Opens a hostel for girls at Hoxton. Visit to a hospital at Stratford and a play centre at Bethnal Green. The Queen is pictured with some children.

Duke of Gloucester inspects his regiment at Aldershot. Troops march past. Lady Alice Scott and the Duke on a hunt. Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Duke and Duchess of Kent at a society wedding. Duke of Kent reviews boys brigade in Glasgow. Boys march, ride horses and do gymnastics. He makes a speech. Duke and Duchess of Kent play with Prince Edward in the garden for the cameras. 1937 - the royal family climb from a car and walk along a red carpet. Shots of the King with the National Anthem playing over ends the film.
