This footage is of Lord Derby's horses.
Racehorses in training are filmed at Stanley House Stables in Newmarket.
Yearlings, mares & the stallion Hyperion are filmed at Woodlands Stud also in Newmarket.
The two paintings are also of Hyperion. The first one is of him in training & is by Walter Earl, the second of him as a stallion is by Sir Alfred Munnings.
Hyperion won the derby in 1933 & was one of the most influential sires of the 20th century.
He looks a very old horse in the film so I would date this to the mid to late 1950s. He died in 1960.
