    Long shot of a troopship arriving at Scottish port. Various shots of the Adjutant General addressing his men onboard the ship and reads out a letter of welcome from the King. The men reply with three cheers (natural sound). Several shots of the Lord Provost of Edinburgh William Darling, who is next to speak to the men. He welcomes them on behalf of the City of Edinburgh (natural sound). Various shots of the interviews with some of the repatriated men (natural sound). They are in good humour and pleased to be home. Various shots of the men boarding smaller craft and going into port. When the boat nears the quay, the Highland band plays welcoming songs (natural sound). Various shots of the soldiers coming onto quay. From there they leave by the coach.
