Ramsay MacDonald receives a hearty greeting on his return to London after the Lausanne Conference.
Full title reads: "London. His Work Well Done. Mr Ramsay MacDonald ... who has laboured unremittingly for 3 weeks at Lausanne to bring agreement amongst the Nations ... has great welcome home."
Ramsay MacDonald welcomed by Sir Clive Whigram, the King's private Secretary, on a crowded railway platform. Stanley Baldwin and other members of the Cabinet (including Neville Chamberlain) are also there to greet him.
The Prime Minister says a few words to the newsreels about how glad he is to be back. He expresses hope that the Conference will have been the beginning of a good process.
