L/S harbour and tower, various shots crane swinging around, men digging with pickaxes, looks like they are reconstructing the docks. M/S trawler, M/S boats setting out to sea. Various shots fishermen in Sou'westers on the trawlers. M/S as nets are dropped over the side. M/S seagulls flying in the air. Various shots boat and net. M/S as full net is swung onboard, C/U of the net, full of fish, just before it is hauled out of the water.
C/U as the net is hauled over the side and the fish dumped in large flat containers on the deck. C/U the mass of fish jumping and squirming on the deck. C/U of the men standing amidst the fish, they shoot them into the hold with steel scoops. C/U as the fish are loaded into baskets which are hauled by a pulley to the quayside. Various shots of the rows of full baskets on the quay. Various shots as the baskets are loaded onto a goods train.
