Harry Tate in estate and detective agency sketch with Hughie Green - dupe of PT 226
Titles read: 'HARRY TATE the famous comedian. Supported by Harry Tate, Junr. and Hughie Green - In a new comedy sketch "Mixed Ginx" by Max Kester".
Pathe Studio, London.
An office set. 'Estate & Detective Agency'. Office boy Hughie Green is working at desk. Harry Tate enters. They exchange crosstalk with references to income tax, ordering sausages etc.
Strange gentleman dressed in cloak and fedora hat enters (Harry Tate Junior). Harry Tate addresses him as Hawkeye. He performs a trick of raising his hat by putting his finger in his mouth and blowing - then exits! Tate explains he is one of his "disinfectants".
Lady calls and asks for help in locating her missing husband. She describes her husband while the description is mixed up with the details of a house in a bad state of repair. She decides against hiring Tate when he says the charge will be £10. She claims her husband isn't worth that.
The sync sound drifts a little in the middle of the sketch on this combined positive (print).
