    Magic tricks. Introductory intertitle reads: "Men, they say, were deceivers ever...anyhow, this one is - so watch closely. He's a Conjuror."

    C/U of a magician in a black suit with waistcoat and bow tie. He performs various tricks. Making a handkerchief disappear and reappear. He ties two handkerchiefs together then they miraculously come untied. We see the tricks in C/U - we are shown how they are done. (The Magic Circle would not be pleased!) We see how he manages to pull the knot apart as it has not been tied as tightly as it seemed.

    Was an item in Pathe Pictorial issue number 667.

    Ahaa! The trick with the silk scarves was performed by Slydini some time in the future and he has had it attributed to him by any magician you ask. It is interesting to see this being performed as early as 1931, though I'm sure it is likely that it goes back further than this.
    A very interesting film!
