Various shots of the guests meeting each other (see Cataloguer's Note below). MS Ethiopian Protocol Master looking at a brand new Legion of Honour won by one of his countrymen. Various shots of Emperor Haile Selassie sitting next to President Coty, posing for photographs, also in the group are Mme Coty and Mrs Edgar Faure.

    The Emperor is introduced to an unidentified Bishop / Archbishop (?). Various shots of the Emperor Selassie being introduced to the guests in the vast Elysee Palace Halls, including Mr Mitterand, Interior Minister, (later President Mitterand) and General Guillaume.
