Gus Elen sings 'Half a Pint of Ale' ("'arf a Pint of Ale"), a song celebrating the joys of drinking beer compared to drinking tea and coffee, and having 'half a pint of ale' with all meals. He is dressed in a cap worn sideways, waistcoat, striped jumper, trousers and holds a white pipe and walks about a set dressed to look like a terraced street.

Note: Gus Elen was known as the 'Coster Comedian'
