King Edward VIII presents new Colours to Guards' regiment in Hyde Park, London.

L/S as a car draws up to a stand, Queen Mary gets out followed by a younger woman, (possibly Princess Mary). King Edward VIII gets out behind them and puts his busby on. M/S as the King in uniform rides along and salutes to another Guard on the platform, he salutes back. L/S of Guards lined up in the park, the King salutes and rides slowly towards them. Various shots of rows of Guards and the King riding past. The new Colours are carried slowly across to the platform.
The King climbs the steps to the platform in the middle of the park, a clergyman performs a ceremony and blesses the Colours which are draped over drums. The King makes a speech, various shots of Guards. Various shots as the Guards turn and take the Colours then walk down the steps. Various shots as they march past the King. Brief shot of ladies heading towards the car again. Various shots of the Guards marching.
Note: the soundtrack to this item is missing. An attempt on the King's life was made on his way back from the event.
