Young boy soprano Graham Payn sings a song whilst standing beside a piano.
Begins with an introductory intertitle: "There is hardly a man or woman in the world who cannot be touched by the sweet voice of a young boy." Main title follows: "Pathe Pictorial presents the South African Boy Soprano Graham Payn in "I Hear You Calling Me"
M/S of Graham looking very smart standing beside a piano singing his song. The pianist is a young rather glamorous woman who wears a long black dress with fur trim. The set represents a drawing room scene.
C/Us of Graham as he sings alternate with M/Ss showing him and his accompanist. The song is a love song which is rather strange for one so young. He is probably about 8 or 9 years old.
The song ends with a static - rather stiff pose - by the piano.
The End title is followed by an advertisement for the following week's issue: "Don't miss next week's Pathe Pictorial. More adventures en route for Greenland... and the famous British Tenor Leonard Gowings... (Millions have heard him on the wireless.)"
Footage count includes end title and advertising title.
Note: Graham Payn in later life was to become long time partner of Noel Coward.
