    VS of the crews of HMS Ajax and Exeter marching past the House of Parliament up Whitehall and onto Horse Guards Parade, the streets are lined with dense crowds and police patrol the crowds wearing their wartime helmets and uniforms.
    VS of King George VI, Winston Churchill and Neville Chamberlain together with the Cabinet saluting, with the seamen on Horseguards Parade as a Marines band plays the Anthem. LS Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) at a window of the Admiralty.
