Crowd giving a Nazi salute to Adolf Hitler who is there for the launch. He salutes back from the platform. Hitler, surrounded by officials looking at the ship moving towards water. As ship slides towards water, Hitler, officials and the crowd give Nazi salute.

    The ship seen here is the SS Scharnhorst, (not to be confused with the battleship Scharnhorst).

    The ship was operated by the Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL) shipping company.
