    Swimming competition between West Germany and Great Britain is about to start. GV. British and German swimming teams lined up on edge of pool in Hildesheim. SV. Crowd sitting around the pool. SV. The start of the 200 metres crawl race for men - won by Williams of Great Britain. Four swimmers dive in at the start and hit the water, camera pans with them half way up the pool, Williams of Britain and Bleeker of Germany in the lead. SV. Swimmers reach the other end of the pool and turn for the last lap back. Underwater shot, swimmers passing camera. SV. The winner, Williams, touches the edge of the pool. CU. Williams in the water. SV. Start of the 200 metres butterfly race for men - won by Weber from Germany who set up a new German National Record. Four swimmers dive off and hit the water. Underwater shot, swimmers passing camera. SV. Swimmers approaching the far end of the pool. Underwater shot, swimmers come right into CU. and turn against the edge of the pool. SV. Swimmers nearing finish, Weber in the lead, Symons of Britain second. CU. The winner, Horst Weber, reaches the edge of the pool.
