    "Allied invasion of occupied Europe - Zweifall (sp.?)" - yes, the footage was shot near Zwiefall in South-West Germany, by a cameraman named as "Laurence".

    In October 1944 Zweifall was the Command Post of the US 9th Division during the battle of the Hurtgen Forest. Between the 6th and 16th of October they launched an offensive towards the town of Schmidt. On 11 October the 39th & 60th Regiments of the 9th Division supported by Sherman tanks of the 746th Tank Battalion were fighting near the towns of Germeter and Vossenack.
