    Full title reads: "Olympia. Georges Carpentier V Joe Beckett for the Heavy-Weight Championship of Europe".

    Olympia, London. Intertitle reads: "Carpentier - trained to bring eye - brain - body and muscle to the pink of perfection to deliver that one devastating punch with the right!" Boxer Georges Carpentier training in a ring. He does stretching exercises, skipping, the punchball (which he appears to burst), he shadow boxes, punches a hanging ball.

    Intertitle reads: "Beckett - first to enter the ring - was greeted with cheers from all parts of the packed house". MS of Joe Beckett climbing into boxing ring and acknowledging crowd.

    Intertitle reads: "Carpentier's reception was hardly less cordial". MS of Georges Carpentier climbing into boxing ring and acknowledging the crowd. He goes over to shake hands with his opponent. VS as the boxers prepare for the fight. Slow motion shots as Beckett hits the canvas and the referee moves Carpentier back to his corner.

    Intertitle reads: "Georges - quickly followed up with the right - and thus ends the most sensational fight of recent years - a championship of 20 rounds finished in less than 20 seconds!" Shots of Carpentier punching Beckett who falls to the floor. The towel is thrown in by his seconds who come to help him to his feet.

    Intertitle reads: "Here you see - the whole of that sensational 5 seconds fighting - in slow motion..." Slo Mo of earlier punch which flattened Beckett.

    Intertitle reads: "The whole House rushed to the ringside to congratulate the Frenchman". VS of Carpentier in his corner being cheered. He shakes hands with Beckett.

    Intertitle reads: "A tragic fulfilment! Beckett - who had already announced his retirement - win - lose or draw - leaves the ring". SV as Joe leaves the ring.

    N.B. Item found in Unidentified Gazettes reel. Boxing match believed to happen in 1919.

    Is this clip's date of 1919 correct? Although Carpentier and Beckett fought in 1919, the location was the Holborn Stadium, not Olympia, as this clip's title card states. However the two DID fight together, at Olympia, in 1923.

    Confirming that information, here's the program for the 1919 fight....

    Making identification even trickier, both fights ended in first-round victories for Carpentier. I'm no boxing expert, so can't confirm which fight this is.
