The 1930 All Ireland final was played between Monaghan and Kerry on 28 September 1930 at Croke park in front of 33,280 and Kerry won comprehensively 3-11 to 0-2
The Kerry goals were by Joe Sheehy, Ned Sweeney and Kerry star John Joe Landers
It was the first ever time in GAA history Monaghan and Kerry played. Monaghan played a very defensive game and got the first point but from that moment on it was all Kerry. This was the first of five All Irelands Kerry would win in the 1930s
