Funeral of the Royal Navy's 'Boy Hero', John Travers Cornwell in 1916 (World War One).
Location: London. 29 July 1916. (Cornwell was buried in Manor Park Cemetery, East Ham, London following a full military funeral service.)
Opens with shot of coffin being placed on gun carriage with flowers being secured by naval ratings. Young Naval ratings stand holding ropes, ready to pull the coffin along; pan back to coffin. Street lined with large crowd waiting for procession. Procession approaching up the street, led by a naval officer and two men in civilian dress and family. Guard follows with arms reserved, then Navy band. Many more mourners follow.
