Military exercise - frogmen throwing plastic explosive into the sea.
M/S of a frogman in fast moving boat, holding a hoop over water. He catches a man with it. Man jumps on board. L/S of a pretty bay. Voiceover informs that location is Poole in Dorset "not only a lovely seaside town, but centre of activities for the joint Services Amphibious Warfare group."
M/S of frogmen on the boat. They are getting ready for their exercise - each man has 4 pounds of plastic explosive around their waist and they are to drop it into the sea. Voiceover says that frogmen units of the Special Boat section of Royal Marines, would be (in time of war) used for clearing beach obstacles in enemy occupied waters, things like steel girders or concrete blocks so they have to be prepared to be human torpedoes if needed.
M/S of the frogmen lined up at the edge of the boat. On officer's sign, they jump in the sea one by one. C/U shot of a man in water. He dives under surface. M/S of the boat as frogman jumps into water. L/S of the sea, coast seems really far. There are two explosions, water flies up. Looks horrifying - what about the fish?
M/S of the boat moving. A man hangs on the side of the boat with a hoop, catching others. L/S (point of view) of frogmen in the water, lined one behind another with their right arms up in the air, waiting to be fished out. Medium, high angle shot of the man fishing others out.
