    The French Grand Prix at Montlhéry, near Paris on 1st July 1934.

    This race was billed as a great duel between the established Italian & French (Alfa, Bugatti & Maserati) teams and the new German teams (Mercedes & Auto Union). No German cars finished this race, but thereafter they would dominate Grand Prix racing until WW2.
    No.12 Louis Chiron won in an Alfa Romeo Tipo B/P3 for Scuderia Ferrari.
    Chiron's Ferrari team mates are second - No.6 Achille Varzi - and third - No.20 Felice Trossi / Guy Moll (shared drive). No.16 Robert Benoist in a Bugatti T59 was fouth. No other cars finished.
