  • Short Summary

Quartet of French soldiers in army camp provide music concert for the comrades.

  • Description

Location of events unclear - France?

Short, rather bizarre item from World War One army camp. Rumpled looking French soldiers give a mock concert; one soldier plays flute , another plays a real violin and another a home-made version of a violin. One soldier stands at a podium and conducts the musicians with a baton. An audience of other French soldiers sits or stands in background. A surreal bit of impromptu entertainment?

Note: neg. appears to be damaged, poor quality image.

    Modified WPA record.
