  • Short Summary

Footage of French museums being protected from aerial bombing.

  • Description

France tries to protect art from bombing.

World War One; war damage (anticipated). Paris tries to protect art treasures from bombing. Shot of Men working stacking sandbags all around a museum building; some of the men are up on ladders; or standing on boards laid between 2 ladders. Another view of this work; with men standing on 'Steps' formed by the sandbags. Finally; GV of building pretty well sandbagged and boarded up; scaffolding in front of some of it. I suppose this might be at the Louvre because they certainly have art treasures there; but really it's hard to tell what the building really looks like under its protective layer.
