Shots of German police lined up with their belongings, they are marched out of a gate and climb onto a lorry. People line the streets to watch as it drives off. M/S as they get out and walk off down a road. C/U of a sign on a train saying 'Essen Paris'. Possessions and children are put on the train and the doors are shut. L/S as the train pulls out of the station, the signal is changed to 'Coln'. Various shots as French soldiers search various vehicles and people's possessions. General Degoutte watches his troops.
