    Several shots of the General Strike - deserted airports and docks, traffic stuck on streets after petrol ran out. Shots of de Gaulle's cabinet / politicians arriving for meeting to decide what to do to put an end to the troubles.

    Footage of people voting at Referendum in which France turned against de Gaulle in the matter of constitutional reforms. People put ballot papers in boxes. Among them is politician Monsieur Pompidou, tipped as the next President. De Gaulle puts his ballot in a box. Exterior shots of building in Paris, probably Presidential dwelling.
