    Several shots of the B. 17 bomber planes taxiing for takeoff. Air to air shots of formation of B. 17 bombers in flight. Closer shots of one of the aircraft showing the many gun positions, we see the guns in action. Vapour trails made by the B. 17 planes. The Fortresses flying through flak, German fighter aircraft attack from all sides. Various shots of the air battle - poor quality film, very unclear. One bomber gets hit and starts to spin out of the sky. Aerial shots of bombs falling from planes over the targets. Various shots of the Flying Fortresses returning to base. One of the airmen gets out of the plane and kisses the ground.
