• Short Summary

Comedy team Forsythe, Seamon and Farrell entertain us with a couple of songs and some funny business.

  • Description

Titles read: "Now Pathetone has pleasure in presenting - The Famous Comedy Team - Forsythe, Seamon & Farrell - of Variety renown".

    London (probably Pathe studio).

We first see a man singing a rather slow and stodgy song. He is interrupted by a large woman, wheeling a piano onto the stage. She says she wants some hot music and starts singing 'Nobody's Sweetheart Now', while the man seems to accompany her on the piano (sounds more like a full jazz band playing). The woman does some crazy dancing to the music.

A blonde woman runs onto the stage and asks the man if the other woman is Mae West. The man says "No, it's Tuckbone Annie"! The girl starts singing a song, 'Every Little Bit of Me Loves Every Little Bit of You" in a squeaky Brooklyn accent, accompanied by the large woman on piano. The man joins in, then the girl goes into a twirling dance.

I'm not sure which is Forsythe, which is Seamon and which is Farrell in this act.

Duplicate exists in Turns Can 9 - see separate record for details.

"I'm not sure which is Forsythe, which is Seamon and which is Farrell in this act" says this clip's cataloguer. Eliminating the doubt here, the man singing the "stodgy song" is Charlie Forsythe, the "large woman" is Eleanor Farrell and the "blonde woman" is Addie Seamon.
