  • Short Summary

The Cambridge boat race crew in training for the annual race with Oxford.

  • Description

Cambridge crew in training in Cambridge for the annual boat race. Full title reads: "FOR THE BOAT RACE - Cambridge crew are first to start active training for the annual 'Battle of the Blues'."

M/S A very cold looking day in the Cambridgeshire countryside. The Cambridge crew carry their boat to the waters edge. They are all dressed in shorts and T-shirts, an older man (possibly the trainer) helps them.

M/S The boat is placed in the water and they climb in and prepare themselves. We see that quite a number of the crew members are wearing quite thick scarves. One member wearing glasses in the forefront looks towards the camera and smiles.

M/S The boat and the crew drift down the river. A man walks by on the opposite river bank and turns to look. There are also some large looking buildings in the background (possibly university buildings).

Good M/S of the crew carrying their boat out the boat house heading towards the river.
