  • Description

    Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

Brief shot of a crowded beach at Southend. Several shots of people throwing bags of flour at each other in the sea, as part of a fund-raising event for a local hospital. Large crowds watch from the beach and sea front. Quick shot of the Carnival Queen and attendants watching. Various shots of men in fancy dress and drag playing football on the mud flats of a beach.
