Strange film about how men in Mexico move chunks of land around by boat.
L/S of a marshy landscape. Man in large sombrero style hat punts a small flat boat through the swamp land. M/S of two men with boats. They cut away a piece of the land and push it away from the boat. They then move along the river with the piece of land pulled behind them. "The farmer fastens the land to his plot by jumping on it! In a year or two you'd think it had always been there..."
C/U of one of the men jumping up and down on the land. "Silt from the canals serves as fertiliser..." The man uses a net on the end of a pole to scrape up mud from the canal bed. L/S of a boat laden down with a huge amount of plants passing by the camera.
