    M/S canoes setting out on the start of the 80 mile international canoe derby. L/S of another group of starters setting off from the lake's shore. Various shots of the canoeists paddling along. M/S as they pick their canoes up on the banks and carry them on their shoulders across rough ground. Back view as they go down a hill to the next river to continue the race. M/S two contestants bringing their canoe to the edge of the river and dropping it on the bank.

    M/S fishing boat on one of the lakes. C/U men fishing over side. M/S showing the four-and-a-quarter pound pike playing on the end of a line. C/U line being wound in. M/S as the man leans over the edge of the boat and pulls the pike from the water. M/S on the way home the man holds his pike up and shows it to another group of men in their boat. M/S in the town, officials are admiring the forty four pound trout hanging on the scales. The other fisherman comes up and compares his fish to this then shakes the catcher's hand. M/S as men load 600 lbs of flour in sacks onto the back of "Chicago Bill". Various shots as he carries it 50 yards to win the contest. He unloads the sacks and people applaud. Another man raises Bill's hand to show he is the winner.
