    M/S of foreman troutbreeder George Stevens and his assistant, Joe Moore, wheeling a trolley with several buckets and a spaniel on, towards the camera. The men pick up buckets and walk to the edge of one of the fish hatcheries' ponds. They scoop minced cod from the buckets and throw it into the pond for the trout. The water splashes and froths as the fish thrash around to get to the food. C/U of George. C/U of the bucket of cod at George's feet as he digs his trowel in. M/S of the cod landing in the water. C/U of the turbulent water. C/U of Teddy the spaniel sitting on the moving trolley - according to the narrator Teddy does not like trout!

George - the foreman trout breeder - picks up one of the "two or three year old" Brown and Loch Leeven trout and measures it, grading it according to size. C/U of George's face. M/S of the ponds - "a constant supply of fresh running water is essential for the rearing of trout, and here it comes from the Welsh mountains' river Ceiriog".
