    M/S tower smoking from smoke bomb which has been let off for practise purposes. Various shots as fire engines approach the scene. M/S firemen putting in hydrant. C/U as they plug in hoses and lay them. M/S fireman running up escape and positioning himself. M/S crew screwing down engine supports. M/S fireman starting mechanical ladder. Various shots as the ladder extends, C/U operator. M/S from ladder of ground below as it rises. Firemen watch as the ladder continues to extend up to the tower. M/S's fireman at top of ladder. C/U ladder operator. M/S volunteer victim fireman Phillip Bates attached to rope, he is lowered to the ground. L/S ladders converging on tower. Various shots as firemen direct their hoses on the tower.
