  • Description

    Film Fanfare no 8 - part 1 of 2.

    Filmed in studio location.

Presenter Paul Carpenter speaks to camera and introduces first act.

Various shots Diana Decker singing "I'm in Favour of Friendship" with Studio Orchestra (a jolly, perky song).

Actor Sir Ralph Richardson is then interviewed by MacDonald Hobley after an introduction by Paul Carpenter. They talk about "Richard the Third" and Shakespeare in detail.

Hobley then interviews film star Jean Kent. They discuss "The Browning Version" and working under contract. Interview is very staged and rehearsed.

    April 1956.

NB: please see separate record for part 2 of Film Fanfare no. 8.
