Film Fanfare - NO 23 - Section 1 & 2. Mid 1956?

Reel 1

John Parsons introduces an item on Marilyn Monroe's visit to Britain. We see her arrival in London and press conference at Savoy Hotel. We also see clips of her in Korea, with Arthur Miller on their engagement and with Jack Warner at Warner Bros. Studios.

John Parsons then interviews Bob Stanage, director of publicity for Warner Bros. and Earl Wilson, American columnist. The talk of Marilyn's arrival in Britain and the reaction of the press. Wilson talks of Marilyn's early career and how she has developed. He also talks of her love for 'good literature' and how she got her break into films.

Betty Paul sings a song from 'Port Afrique', 'A Melody From Heaven'.
