John Parsons meets and interviews Rod Steiger. He talks about type casting as a villain, his impressions of London Airport and the kind of roles he would like to play. Also the contrasts between films, theatre and TV.
Diana Dors is seen modelling swimsuits. She is then interviewed by John Parsons about her switch from glamour girl to actress. She talks of her role in 'Yield to the Night'. She says it is not based on Ruth Ellis. She then leaves with other stars for the Cannes Film Festival.
Many British stars are seen at London Airport leaving for Cannes. Among them are - Richard Todd - Derek Farr - Muriel Pavlow - Belinda Lee - Tony Wright - Susan Belmont- John Gregson - Julia Arnold. There then follows a filmed item on the 9th Cannes Film Festival. Yvonne Fernaux / Furneaux - Vernon Grey are also seen. Crowds of photographers gather around the stars as they arrive for screenings. There is much activity to photograph Diana Dors.
