The location is Rochford Aerodrome, now Southend Airport. Hurricanes of 56 Squadron and Spitfires of 65 Squadron. This would place the film around August 1940. Notable landmarks are the houses and shops on the Southend Road on the airfield\'s eastern perimeter, the chimmney of the Ekco factory and Warners Bridge on the south east corner of the airfield. Often quoted as being filmed at North Weald, this is in fact Rochford.
