Several shots of the latest in teenage party frocks, for girls who were "too young before the war and haven't been able to get one since". Three mannequins wander about a room, powdering their noses before a dressing table, admiring each other's dresses and generally preparing for an outing.
The first is a 'dance frock' in Chantilly lace with a button tunic and ruffled basque and short, puffed sleeves. The second is in white rayon faconne with a simple line and a bustle plus matching bolero that "helps to create that grown-up feeling".
The last is a crepe dress with a small flower print all over it, and a tiered waistline. The three models walk towards the camera as commentator says "Three things to remember, they're on sale now, they're not expensive and they're not for export".
