Unissued / unused material.
Various shots of small board, on board are women and children being evacuated from Cheribon (aka Cirebon). The boat pulls up next to a Royal Navy warship. Indonesian officers board ship and are greeted by naval officers. A red cross nurse and the evacuees / refugees board then board the ship.
Various shots on board ship at sea. Various shots sailors giving out sweets and rations to evacuee children. The warship arrives in Batavia. Various shots refugees disembarking from ship. Various shots Dutch red cross workers giving refreshments to evacuees. The evacuees are then loaded onto trucks.
Various shots unidentified man disembarking from aeroplane. A collection of dignitaries wait for him on tarmac, he shakes hands with some officers and kisses a woman on the cheek. Location looks tropical - could be Indonesia again? This last section may be a dupe of UN 1354, in which case the man may be Dr. Van Mook.
Date on old record is 18/07/1946.
Note: unsure what evacuees are being evacuated from - any information gratefully received!
