    English / British troops at the Front.

    MS troops riding or walking in procession past ruined buildings, pan to others sat at side. MS troops riding in big railway trucks, a soldier watches them from side of track. MS other soldiers walking along, it looks bleak. MS soldiers riding down tracks. MS soldiers walking along, MS others coming out of dugout. MS's different guns firing in field. MS wounded soldier being carried along on stretcher and put on ground then attended to. MS as another is carried off.

    MS man riding on horses pulling gun barrels etc., carrying equipment. MS horse pulling cart full of equipment, others follow. MS trucks driving through muddy rough ground, soldiers wade after them, one man carries a large log and puts it on ground to try and make a road in the mud for vehicles and men. MS men digging and laying boards so soldiers can walk over the muddy ground.

    While some of the troops seen here are British, most sequences are of US Doughboys.

    The troops in the passing train are British. Most of the rest are US. In particular, the crew firing the Hotchkiss Gun are US Doughboys. The horsemen are US, also.
