Start of the international football match between England and France at Wembley. SV. Wright and Piantoni exchanging tokens with the referee and linesmen standing in the background. GV. Crowds. GV. Kick-off. France wearing dark shirts, kicking from right to left. Ujlaki is trying to go through but his pass is intercepted and he is pushed up field by an England player. SV. Claude Abbes at goal mouth. GV. Bryan Douglas with the ball, beats his man comfortably and crosses. Tommy Taylor back heads the ball and it hits the inside of the post and goes into goal. England 1, France 0. SV. Mass of kids screaming. SV. Bobby Robson is robbed of the ball and France push it towards the English goal area. GV. French player running in, shoots and ball is deflected and goes over the bar. CU. Man in crowd holds his head. LV. Just outside the English penalty area, the ball goes to a Frenchman who beats Don Howe. He starts to cut in to centre the ball. LV. Ball comes across the goal and Eddie Hopkinson takes it comfortably from the head of a Frenchman and throws it up field. LV. Johnny Haynes with the ball, pushes a long pass through the middle. GV. Robson running on to it, shoots and the ball is beautifully blocked by Abbes and goes clear. CU. Man in crowd holds his head. GV. Middle of the field, Haynes with the ball. He pushes it along to someone in the wing. SV. Douglas in possession of the ball tearing into the French penalty area. Goal keeper comes out and slides at his feet but he goes round him and pushes it back. Robson steadies the ball before shooting into the net. England leading with 2 goals to nil. GV. Crowds cheering. LV. French attacking just outside the English penalty area but Haynes robs Vincent of the ball and starts to move up the field with it. CU. Man in crowd bobbing his head. SV. Haynes with the ball, lobs a beauty through the middle. GV. French goal area, Taylor hooks and it sails into the goal to put England in the lead 3 - 0. GV. Crowds at half time.

GV. French player attacking, beats Wright and crosses the ball from the left wing. Byrne heads away and it just runs out towards Rene Domingo. GV. Domingo beats Edwards to it and shoots. Beautiful save by Hopkinson. CU. Men in crowd cheering. GV. France on the move again, Bruno Bollini coming through with ball. He pushes it to a team mate who pushes it back. He starts to go in towards the goal challenged by Wright and Byrne. GV. Bollini is through and Hopkinson dives at his feet. The ball goes up in the air and Bollini tries to volley it into an empty goal. Ball goes over the bar, Bollini holding his head in shame. CU. Boy in crowd holding his head. GV. England on the move, Haynes pushes it through on the right wing where it is crossed to the centre. GV. Ball comes across and Tom Finney gets his head to it. Ball hits the crossbar and is gathered safely by goalkeeper. CU. Boy in crowd holds his head. GV. Finney with the ball making his way towards the French goal, he beats Piantoni and Douis and pushes it out to Douglas. He cuts in and pushes it to Robson who taps it into the goal. Final score - England 4, France 0.
