Naval and military troops march through Hyde Park in Empire Day Procession.
Hyde Park, London.
Various shots of the celebration of Empire Day. A long line of boys in Naval uniforms parade through the park carrying Union Jack flags and guns. A man walks with them who looks a bit like Admiral Jellicoe. Boys pull field guns across the grass while two follow carrying a stretcher (not very optimistic!).
Two long lines of young soldiers march through the park carrying pennants on long poles. Women's Auxiliary Army (?) march past, wearing dark uniforms and hats that look a bit like Australian Anzacs. They are led by women carrying instruments - military band. More women follow carrying banners and pennants. Nurses are seen in the distance, bringing up the rear.
An unidentified personality gets out of a car - a woman with a heavy net over her face. People watch as a large Union Jack flag is unfurled at a flagpole.
Modified WPA record.
