Pan around stadium as we hear crowds singing. M/S of Royal family in Royal Box. Several shots of flag-waving display in the centre of the stadium. An enormous model crown with a long train is carried around the stadium by women in white dresses. Men and women of the Dutch colonies walk across the stadium ground and place offerings on the ground - look like melons and other fruit and foods.
Large groups of children in gingham clothes come running onto the stadium ground and make their way in procession from one side to the other. Military band on horseback march around the stadium track. The Royals are driven around the track in an open carriage, waving to the crowds as they go by.
The huge crown is carried through the crowd-lined streets by soldiers and sailors, followed by long procession of nurses and others. A new set of crown-carriers take over at one point. The crown is put onto a plinth; soldiers stand either side of it.
