• Short Summary

A Nuffield sponsored film showing the highway from Dawson Creek in Alberta to Fairbanks, Alaska. Driven by two Morris Minors.

  • Description

On across the Big Gerstle River and passed a complex of rivers and islands where the Delta River merge with the Tanana River. The drivers look at a statue erected to Felix Pedro who discovered gold in the Fairbanks area in 1902. By the side of a creek a man pans for gold. A large modern mechanised dredger slowly propels itself forward as it extracts gold.

At the end of the journey the cars drive down the busy main street of Fairbanks. The Morris Minors are seen approaching the long dirt highway. A montage of lorries raising up dust as they drive the highway, and a big plug for Nuffield cars.

    The End.
