    My father Warrant Officer George Leslie Roberts was a schoolmaster there at the Saunton Sands Hotel where the Yorkies were stationed during the war. He thoroughly enjoyed his posting and during that time I was born at Braunton nursing home! Dr Philip Roberts, Norwich.
