This film is from October 1934. The larger stadium (after 45 seconds) is Maine Road and the game the Duke is at is Manchester City V Derby County on 20 October 1934. Derby won 1-0. The City captain Sam Cowan introduces the City team first, then its Derby County before a few seconds play. The film then moves on to a rugby game.
The attendance at Maine Rd was 44,393 and the City team was Swift, Barnett, Barkas, Busby, Cowan, Bray, Toseland, Herd, Tilson, Heale and Brook. They were reigning FA Cup holders.
I hope this helps, Dr Gary James, gary.james@mmu.ac.uk
