    Prince Philip opens a terminal in London to allow airport passengers to check in in Kensington.

    Cromwell Road, Kensington, London.

    MS Three girls standing under an umbrella in street in the rain. VS Exterior of BEA Air Terminal at Cromwell Road, which the Duke of Edinburgh will open. MS Prince Philip steps out of car on arrival and is greeted by Lord and Lady Douglas, of Kirtleside. MS Prince Philip being introduced to B.E.A. executives and other people in the reception lounge. VS BEA Traffic Director Mr EP Whitfield showing a full scale model of the air terminal to the Duke, Various GV inside main hall of terminal with people seated in rows to listen to the Duke's opening speech. VS People in the gathering. LS The Duke takes his seat in the dais after unveiling a plaque. VS The Duke taking a look at the 'Check in' and 'ticket desk', etc. He asks a lot of questions to the hostesses in the terminal and also has a laugh with them. VS The Duke walking through another part of terminal. MS He then has a chat to a crowd of Air Hostesses and walks away. VS The Duke looking at the baggage turntable, cases and bags are put on it and by just standing and waiting in one spot your baggage eventually comes past you and then you just take it off. MS B.E.A. Man in uniform having his shoes polished at machine in the terminal, then he walks off down corridor. CU Drawings of a man and woman which are toilet indicators. CU The curtain falling away to reveal the opening plaque. VS Air terminal staff at work. MS Baggage being put in back of coach for transport to the airport.
