Street scenes in Calcutta: Indian people asleep on the pavement as traffic moves by, a porter having a siesta by laying down his head in a basket, pan up to cars passing.

    General view of the Tata Steel Mills at Jamshedpur which is 160 miles South of Calcutta. L/S of the steel foundry. The Duke arrives, sitting in the back of an open car and waving to crowds. The Duke is garlanded by an old worker of the steel mills. The Duke sits in a jeep and is driven through the production shops where locomotive parts are manufactured. He waves to the workers as he passes them. Workers are welding as he goes by.
