    Intertitle: "DR MACNAMARA unveils Memorial Cross to Jack Cornwall, V.C., the Boy Hero of the Battle of Jutland".

    M/S of Dr. M. standing next to a memorial draped in a Union Jack flag, a crowd of people in mourning dress listens as he addresses them, including a woman holding a baby. The flag is removed, revealing the memorial to John Travers Cornwell, the men in the crowd remove their hats. M/S of a man wearing a mayoral chain giving a speech in front of the memorial. M/S of wreaths being laid on the memorial by the mayor and Dr. M. C/U of a boy standing in front of the memorial. C/U of Dr. M. talking with people in the crowd. C/U of the crowd, including the woman with the baby, Dr. M shakes someone's hand. C/U of the memorial - writing engraved on it reveals that it was erected by pupils and ex-pupils from schools in East Ham and that Jack was only 16 when he died.

    Note: discrepancy in spelling of surname - 'Cornwall' in intertitle, 'Cornwell' on memorial and in newspaper articles at the time. AH 2000.

    The unveiling seen here took place on 31 December 1920.

    Shouldn't the title reflect the name of the young man whose memorial this is, rather than the name of the M.P. unveiling it?
