A crowd has gathered outside Downing Street.
Members of the 1939 War Cabinet go into No. 10. Downing St. Amongst those arriving are Lord Halifax and Sir Kingsley Wood. Photographers take pictures of some of the politicians as they arrive.

Shots of men digging trench outside Guy's Hospital. Sandbags are used to improve the buildings defences. Various shots of sandbags being carried and placed. Nurses sit in the gardens. They walk past some of the men working on sandbagging. (Presumably this section may originally have been UN 159 A.)
